Some rust starting to come near the wheel wells. The few issues I have had are the keyless entry sometimes won't respond, the windows are rolling up slow, fan belt needs changed and there is a tiny leak in the exhaust causing a small putt putt noise. Little or no correction is needed on straightaways. The 2002 Nissan Pathfinder gave up its life to save ours. Safety Antilock brakes are standard.
There is no other brand that I will love more than this one. Under the Hood One engine, two transmissions and two drive systems are available for the Pathfinder. Guess I could scab one in. Speaking of the trailer hitch! Mechanically this is the best vehicle I've ever owned.
This is the car I learned to drive with. A well designed, manuverable rig in town or the outdoors with comfort for four and a full size trailter hitch. This the exact same vehicle! I hope it last forever, its really like a good friend to me 5 out of 5 stars by JimboInMesa from Arizona on Fri Jul 28 2006 So reliable - it's our 3rd Pathfinder. It faced fierce blizzards, heavy downpours, and relentless winds as if they were light flurries, april showers and summer breezes. The rear liftgate has a window that flips up.
Beautiful Silver paint with black leather and faux wood interior. It still has the get up and go I need and the engine is great. It has never let me down. I am sure that with another 40 years ahead of me to buy vehicles, Nissan will be it, until I can afford that Ferrari of course. After a decade, it racked up over a quarter of a million miles, and it still ran great.
Interior All Pathfinders seat five, though foot room for backseat occupants might be tight beneath the front seats. Seats are comfortable and supportive. This is the car I grew to love like a part of my family. The only con I didn't list, which my list is minimal for a year old vehicle, is the gas mileage. Excellent in snow Always starts and runs beautifully! It has been all over the east coast and is still running smooth. Despite the soft ride, handling ranks above average as the Pathfinder maneuvers easily and adeptly, staying relatively flat in curves and corners. Don't like to mess with what works, though. It's not the best, but I know Nissan improved this on newer models. The recall began on March, 31, 2017. If you shop smartly and find one in good shape then you will have an excellent all around vehicle for years to come! Now it has 144,000 miles on it. Now it is sitting at 120,000 miles and cruises down the road as good as any other car or trucks I've owned that were newer with lower miles. I have not had any major repairs other than tires, oil changes and a belt since I have owned it. It's a style that anyone can and will love. These vehicles are equipped with Takata air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment.
This car, ever since it was handed down to me, had become an important part of my life. A fresh grille with a larger, restyled Nissan badge goes on 2002 models, which come with new 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The damage to the car was appalling, to the extent where it was deemed a total loss. Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger air bag inflator, free of charge. I change the oil, tires, and brakes.
