It will be a tremendous help. This test can be done by connecting a fuel flow gauge into the fuel supply line, or by disconnecting the fuel return line from the fuel pressure regulator and connecting a hose from the regulator to a large container. I am hoping someone can help. Over time this can damage the part. There is several relays in there. Every application is different, so always look up the pressure specs when troubleshooting fuel-related performance problems.
Includes fuel tank seal, splice harness, four butt connectors, Fuel level sender and instruction sheet. In fact, I have a financially strapped friend with an 04 Silverado that now caries a heavy rubber mallet in the truck. Originally, the van would turn over, but not start. In fact it has more visitors than any other page. I immediately began to check the wiring harness and everything leading back to it. It is also possible that corrosion on the fuse connector can cause heat, which would also tend to blow the fuse. Residual Fuel Pressure Test When the pump is turned off or stops running, the system should hold residual pressure for several minutes look up the specs to see how much pressure drop is allowed over a given period of time. To make matters worse, what I have seen are repeat failures of the replacement unit. Big and powerful, your Chevy Astro surpasses other minivans in its utility and hauling ability. While a plug is out, screw a compression gauge into the cylinder and have someone crank the engine for you. Truck has very little power.
Fuel strainer is inside the module assembly. Took the tank off and removed the sending unit, and sure enough, the wires inside the tank had the insulation worn off and there was obvious melting of the connector.
