I purchased the V70xc as a vehicle for my wife to use but I must admit that I love driving it as well. Hey John, thanks for responding. In fact, on paper, this maybe the world's most perfect vehicle. This one in particular has a 4 speed automatic with sport, economy, and winter modes. The outside temperature gauge always seemed to be accurate too. Corners tight, most comfort hands down, no cooling and water pump issues such as those found in my Hondas, no engine failue, trany malfunctions or multiple axel replacement common in the Mazda Millenia, 626 and Mazda 6 that I just dumped for a new Volvo. Okay, but you're being picky. I love the legendary Volvo history that is tied to this car! More than anything else, it's really an appearance package. Most relaible cars I've ever owned. I replaced the battery with a proper sized one and had no issues starting it up.

One thing that surprised us is that this is not a big car. I am happy with the new features of the new 80 and will continue to buy Volvo. I just picked one up, unbelievable! I've owned a few cars and one being a Cadillac DeVille and in comparison the Volvo hands down I'd stick with the Volvo because it handles like a touring car and the turbo performs wonderfully. The sensors felt that all wheels would slip and so the car went no where. Overall it is a great car.
It is comfortable to ride in, although it didn't have much headroom. Then Geely Chinese company purchased in 2005. It drives and handles wonderfully. I think some people are expecting their cars to run forever with little or no maintenance. What guy who buys a Volvo is looking to do the Rubicon Trail? I know that car had a lot of life left at only 172000 miles. The 0-60 time is just 6. Since it was at that lot I didn't know if there was anything wrong with it starting out, but other than having to be jumpstarted from sitting so long, it ran great during the test drive. It is fun to drive, practical, fuel efficient, and safe. Water falls in cabin from roof line. I haven't been able to find those tires for my '98 Volvo, but I've seen them on other '98 Volvos. I look forward to eventually passing these fine cars on to my children.

It gets pretty good gas mileage, yet has plenty of power, with its five-cylinder, low-pressure turbocharged engine. It's a wagon, so there's plenty of room for your dogs and all your stuff.
This is basically the 850 with all-wheel drive and a few other mostly cosmetic features. The car has 231000 miles on it and it runs and drives better than some new cars I've test driven! Now, even though it's got all-wheel drive, it's not designed for off-road use. But, you should know that this is not a big wagon, if that's what you're looking for. If you have a chronically frost bitten rear end, you'll love them, as did the women in our group. What else could you possibly want? So, the main appeal of this all-wheel-drive system is to provide great traction and safety in the snow.
