So I guess since I didnt spend at least 35k on my vehicle new i am not entitled to have a defective part fixed. The hazard lights flashed on the dashboard but not exterior which is extremely dangerous. The gas gauge quit registering Sept 2012, I called my Cheverolet dealership as I had done some research online and found out that for my year and model there was a recall because of the gas gauge issue. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000. They know exactly what the problem is. This can be achieved by performing a voltage drop test or by adding a device to each circuit that will supply sufficient load to verify the circuits integrity. Gm knows the problem but will not do anything about it.
This repair at the dealership is costly. So in the meantime, what can one man really do? The vehicle was not repaired. If the oil light is shining check the engine oil this could be a sign of low oil pressure. The last week it has been more and more difficult and is constant since yesturday.
